Having being online for more than a decade I find it difficult to keep track of all my online login details. There are the logins for all the sitemap accounts for all the major search engines, the logins to our Content Management Systems, the eCommerce solutions, web sites I am a member of and last but not least my much loved online banking. Then there's all the store logins; John Lewis, M&S, Amazon, Tesco's, ... the list goes on..
The basic idea behind the login pages is security. But how secure is it really, if I can't remember the details and get them sent by email or I have to write them down and keep them in "safe" place? Once I had the habit of emailing myself the details so I could store them in Outlook and search for them if I forgot them. That's not secure at all, isn't it?
I know from friends and clients that many of them always use the same or very similar login details. A strong password, one with capital and small letters, with special characters and numbers, is very seldom used.
I count that I have almost 100 different login details in use. To remember them all is pretty much imposible. My old system of "remembering" the login details and the built in password features in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc. are not secure enough for me to be satisfied.
After some research (following a hint from a dear friend) I found the perfect solution. No more thinking up a password and no more remembering either.
